hello everyone! for a moment i forgot how to sign in into this account. but anyway, a levels is over! here comes life! yay! =D

we probably won't see each other much from now on; there's ns for guys and work for girls in the upcoming months. but we must get together often and have outings ok? for a start, we should keep this blog active, so start posting!

Hello fetched up people, this blog has been freaking stale. Hannah's uploading age old photos (or at least that's what she promised), so that's a start. National day celebrations were pretty funny. I think Mrs. Lim wore the same think she wore to RHD, that red half cheong sum thing lol.

Those who missed Mark's totally awesome concert, don't fell too much of regret and misery. Rather, dwell in it. muahar.

As requested by Jonathan, here's an update!

Busy schedules have taken over our lives and I do understand that we all have been (at the very least) cooping ourselves up in our rooms, mugging our asses off.

Thankful for the holidays? Not anymore.

Holidays will never take on the same meaning again with the new July Mid-years thing.

12 Chapters of Bio, 8 chapters of Chemistry, 14 chapters of Math and God-knows-how-many chapters of Econs.

Sometimes I ask myself, do I deserve this?

On brief note, mug hard people, after this we shall all go celebrate (before I get my lousy results back.)

Hello!

I wonder: who besides the o7s34 class of 28 will read this and how much are we not supposed to discuss here.

Past midnight and not exactly rushing on my tsd essay that was due two/three days ago. Not yet done my chem tutorial (wouldn't have bothered if not for...) nor my maths tutorial nor GPP!!! Denied of my two extra free periods because of NAPFA tomorrow.

Ok you wouldn't want to hear about how I've not been keeping up with my work because you hear your own version of the story in your head all the time. Just 9 more days people! (Possibly 8 if full day's on Friday) and we'll enter JUNE HOLIDAYS! Which only means bio remedial, CIP on the third, PW Prototype, studying for Mid Years, etc. Whoopee =)

College Survival Tips

1. ORGANIZATION:
Get organized. Keep a daily planner. Mark all important dates (exams, homework, readings, etc.). Prioritize.

2. FAMILIARITY:
Get familiar with the campus. Go visit each of these during the first week of class:

Library, Bookstore, Cafeteria, Professor's Offices, College Security,
Advisors, Registration, Study Rooms, Recreation/Student Center, etc.

3. ATTENDANCE:
Attend class. Be on time - even a little early. It gives you time to get settled down, relax and get mentally ready.

4. PREPARATION:
Keep up to date on your studies. Turn work in on time. Read ahead of lecture. Know what's coming up in class. Refer to your schedule daily.

5. THE LIBRARY:
Use the library. Study, read, meditate, relax. Browse the shelves. Use the computers. If that's not enough, remember - the most comfortable chairs on campus are probably in the library!

6. STUDY:
Study every day - give yourself one day of rest though. Study more efficiently. Seek to explain, not just recite. Work with tutors if you need.

7. IMMERSION:
Immerse yourself in your courses. Talk about what you're learning. Write about it. Relate it to past experiences. Apply it to everyday life. Look for it in the news or on TV. Make what you learn a part of yourself.

8. QUALITY:
Set a high standard for yourself. Avoid laziness. Procrastination becomes a bad habit VERY quickly.

9. SOCIALIZE:
Start a study group. Meet with other students for studying and socializing. Join a club. College buddies will last for years.

10. PROFESSORS:
Get to know your professors - so they will know you too. Visit them during office hours - ask for help on learning "their" subject.

11. STAFF:
Be nice to all staff and your fellow students. You may desperately need their assistance some day.

12. HELP:
Ask for help if (when) you need it. The College offers tutors, disability assistance, academic counselors, advisors, job placement, career counselors and many other services that you pay for (out of your tuition) whether you use them or not.

13. HEALTH:
Take care of your health. Eat well. Get plenty of rest. Exercise - even just walking.

14. STRESS:
Practice stress-reduction. Keep a sense of humor. Go for a quiet walk. Read Robert Frost. Make your College experience an opportunity to improve your mind, body and spirit. Learn how to juggle.

Wonder how many of us would actually practise this...

Anyway, it's Tuesday soon! Keep your heads up people! And use your free time to study Photosynthesis for upcoming test in Week 7! We're in Week 6 btw. :D
